MndUP (mndup.com) for scholarship applications

MndUP (mndup.com) checks scholarship applications against your published criteria and gives the assessor a clear, quoted summary; a person always decides.

MndUP screens and summarises; it does not rank applicants for admission. Each criterion gets a written reason and quotes from the application, code checks every quote, and cases where the analysts agree are still sampled for a person to check.

pilot with us

Not yet proven here. MndUP was first proven in grant screening; for a pilot, we agree with you what to test and what a good result looks like before you commit.

How it works

  1. You write the rules. Criteria, scoring scale and screening rules are data in an editor you control. No developer, no template.
  2. A panel of AI analysts reads. Several analysts read each document. Every score comes with a written reason. Every quote is checked against the source, and a quote that cannot be found is flagged.
  3. Code checks every quote. Software finds each quote in the source. One it cannot find is marked unverified and stays in view.
  4. A person decides. The assessor accepts, changes or rejects. The decision, the evidence and the time go into a sealed record.

What a pilot tests

A pilot runs a handful of last year's applications against your published criteria and compares the results with the decisions your assessors made.

Questions and answers

Can MndUP screen scholarships and course applications?

Yes, as screening and summarising against your published criteria, with a person deciding. MndUP does not rank applicants for admission.

Does the AI decide?

No. A person decides. The AI analysts read, score and give written reasons; the assessor accepts, changes or rejects, and that decision is what is recorded. Cases where the analysts agree are still sampled for a person to check.

What about the EU AI Act and human oversight?

MndUP is designed for human oversight: a person makes every decision, sees the evidence, and can overrule the analysts. We make no claim of legal conformity; whether a use is high-risk is for you and your adviser to judge.
